What is my why?
Understanding your motivation helps shape a plan that actually lasts — not one built on pressure or quick fixes..
2
What are my limitations?
Think about what might shape your confidence or consistency. Do you have access to a gym? Do you thrive with social motivation or prefer solo routines? Knowing these factors helps create a plan that fits your real life.

FAQs
Here are some common misconceptions about GERD:
Do you need to avoid all common GERD trigger foods?
Foods like coffee, tomatoes, and chocolate are common triggers—but it’s not all or nothing. A GERD-friendly diet helps you learn how much of a food you can tolerate, so you can manage symptoms without cutting everything out.
Does a GERD-friendly diet has to be flavorless (or bland)?
I don’t believe managing GERD means sticking to a bland, restrictive diet. Instead, I help clients find balance and food freedom—showing them how to enjoy flavorful meals with simple swaps. For example, instead of lemon juice, I might suggest using lemon zest or sumac to keep the flavor without the flare-up.
Is Managing GERD is all about reducing acidic foods?
GERD is not just an acid issue. While antacid meds can help, they don’t fix the root cause—often a weak lower esophageal sphincter (LES). My approach looks at the whole picture: diet, stress, and lifestyle, to support long-term digestive health.
Are Taking PPIs necessary?
Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) aren’t necessarily a long-term solution (nor are relying on antacids like Tums). While PPIs can effectively reduce stomach acid to allow healing—especially during periods of severe acid reflux—they may also mask underlying issues and lead to nutritional deficiencies over time. I emphasize lifestyle and dietary changes as a foundational approach to promote lasting health and healing.
